Marvin Windows & Doors
Since 1980, Marvin Windows & Doors of Tennessee has been a part of Lauderdale County's industrial economic opportunity. Marvin's organization manufactures high-end wood and aluminum-clad wood doors with a custom made-to-order logic for both commercial and residential applications. The facility and its employment base have grown from a humble beginning of six associates to more than 500 employees in its 570,000-square-foot facility. The Ripley facility was the first within the Marvin companies to implement the "5S" Workplace Management System, a system that helps organize and maintain the work environment as safe, clean, efficient and productive.
American Greetings Corporation
The American Greetings plant in Ripley is the company's North American lithographic printing facility that manufactures all the company's U.S. greeting cards. The plant's 145 employees each have an average of 16 years of service. The plant opened in 1972 and today utilizes nine large-format specialty printers to produce about 1.6 billion greeting cards per year. American Greetings Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of greeting cards, gift wrap, party goods, stationery, calendars, ornaments and electronic greetings.
FAIST Light Metals
FAIST Light Metals, a division of FAIST Industrial Group, specializes in high-quality aluminum die casting, precision machining and surface plating of components and assemblies for the telecom, automotive, electronics and industrial markets. The 65,000-square-foot facility in Ripley manufactures high-precision automotive components such as engines and power trains operations. Headquartered in Italy, FAIST Light Metal's Ripley location is the third location in North America and employs more than 30 skilled workers.
